About TrekSavvy
At TrekSavvy, we believe great trips start with great decisions—and great decisions start with honest information.
We're here to cut through the noise of sponsored fluff and vague recommendations. Every guide, review, and comparison on TrekSavvy is built around real-world use, practical details, and the kind of insights you only get after packing (and repacking) your bag a few times too many.
Whether you're planning a weekend escape, a long-haul adventure, or just trying to figure out which piece of gear is actually worth carrying, our goal is simple: help you travel smarter, lighter, and more confidently.
What We Do
- In-depth travel guides focused on how places actually work, not just how they look on Instagram
- Straightforward gear reviews that prioritize usability, durability, and value
- Comparisons and breakdowns that make complex choices easier and faster
- Practical tips you can use immediately, whether you're on the road or still planning
Our Philosophy
We're travelers first. That means:
- No hype without substance
- Clear pros and cons—always
- Recommendations based on experience, not paychecks
Some links on TrekSavvy may earn us a commission, but they never influence what we recommend. Trust is the whole point.
Why TrekSavvy?
Because travel should feel exciting—not overwhelming. We want you spending less time researching and more time exploring.
Pack smarter. Go farther. Travel savvy.
Meet Our Contributors
Eric Denby spent years on the road as a consultant, bouncing between airports, hotel rooms, rental cars, and long international work trips. Outside of work, he has always been drawn to the outdoors, especially the kind of trips where a bag has to handle airports, trailheads, and rougher conditions without missing a beat. That combination made him unusually opinionated about the small gear choices that shape how travel actually feels. He gravitates toward products that feel durable, compact, and genuinely useful after months of repeat use instead of just looking clever on a product page.
Maya Rowan came to travel gear through years of moving between cities, taking extended trips, and figuring out how to stay organized without overpacking. She also loves the outdoors, especially the kind of trips where good packing and a comfortable setup make it easier to move between cities, campsites, and day excursions without overthinking every bag choice. She cares a lot about the rhythm of travel, how easy it is to find what you need, how comfortable a bag feels after a long day, and how much mental energy good gear can save. Her perspective tends to favor products that feel polished, intuitive, and easy to keep using trip after trip.
