The SanDisk is enough for basic travel storage

SanDisk's Extreme USB-C drive makes more sense when speed is secondary. It is easy to keep travel documents, presentations, downloaded entertainment, and an emergency copy of important files on a drive that barely uses any space.

It is not a substitute for an SSD when you regularly move huge files or need sustained write performance. For occasional transfers, that limitation may never matter enough to justify the more capable drive.

Buy the SanDisk Extreme USB-C if you want a tiny place for documents, media, and occasional backups. It is the more sensible choice when you do not have an SSD-sized problem.
