Olight's Ark Line Is Confusing, Buy the ArkPro Lite
Olight's Ark lineup is more confusing than it should be, but the ArkPro Lite is the best buy for most people because it keeps USB-C, stays more affordable, and is more useful outdoors than the rest

Olight's Ark lineup is confusing.
The Arkfeld Ultra is often misunderstood as the obvious top model, but it is a different branch from the ArkPro lights.
This matters: the ArkPro Lite, ArkPro, and ArkPro Ultra all support USB-C charging. The Arkfeld Ultra does not, using Olight's magnetic charger instead. This is the main reason it is not my default pick, despite being a good light.
If you want the short answer, buy the ArkPro Lite.
It is the best Ark light for most because it retains the line's strengths: strong brightness, a beefy battery, tough construction, and a useful magnet, without unnecessary tradeoffs.

Arkfeld Ultra
Many misunderstand this one first. The Arkfeld Ultra sounds like the obvious top pick, but it's a different branch of the lineup.
It offers white light, UV, and a green beam with a durable body and strong output, and I understand its appeal. The catch remains charging: it does not use USB-C, relying solely on Olight's magnetic charging cable. This is a significant downside in 2026 for a simple travel or everyday kit.
ArkPro Lite
This is the one I would buy first. It offers up to 1200 lumens, white, red, and UV light, USB-C and magnetic charging, plus a strong magnetic base. It is the cleanest value in the lineup.
The red light is a key reason. For outdoor use, I prefer a red light over a laser pointer. It is more useful around camp, attracts fewer bugs, and helps preserve night vision.
ArkPro
The ArkPro steps up to 1500 lumens, adding a spotlight and green beam alongside white and UV light. If you need the extra beam options, it makes sense. For most, however, the Lite remains the better buy.
ArkPro Ultra
The ArkPro Ultra offers 1700 lumens, the same broad multi-light approach, tougher O-aluminum construction, and both USB-C and magnetic charging. It is the premium ArkPro, but also the one most likely to include features you will rarely use.
In summary: The Ark series has strengths: brightness, battery, rugged build quality, and a strong magnet. But the ArkPro Lite is best for most, offering USB-C, a lower price, and a useful red light, avoiding the Arkfeld Ultra's charging headache.
