This 40W Travel Adapter Is a Better Buy Than Anker's Smaller One

The EPICKA Air 40W makes a strong case if you want more charging power than Anker's smaller travel adapter and do not mind a little extra thickness

Quick Take

  • The EPICKA Air 40W is the better pick if you want a travel adapter that can do more than basic phone charging.
  • Compared to Anker's Nano Travel Adapter, the tradeoff is simple: more wattage, slightly more bulk.
EPICKA Air 40W Universal Travel Adapter
A compact universal adapter that pushes a little harder than the usual low-watt travel brick.

The EPICKA Air 40W is the kind of travel adapter that makes sense the second you compare it to the weaker generic stuff most people already own.

The big reason is simple: 40W is a lot more useful than the 20W you get from TrekSavvy's previously featured Anker Nano Travel Adapter. If you want one adapter that does more when you are charging a phone, tablet, earbuds, or a small USB-C device stack in a hotel room, the Epicka has the stronger pitch.

It is also pretty close in footprint. The EPICKA Air 40W is listed at 3.15 × 1.97 × 1.19 inches. The Anker Nano Travel Adapter is 3.39 × 1.97 × 0.98 inches. So the Epicka is actually a bit shorter, the same width, and thicker.

That is the trade. Anker still has the cleaner minimalist case if you just want something slim and simple. But the Epicka is the better buy if you care more about getting meaningfully more charging power out of the same general kind of travel accessory.
